I am an experienced art and visual historian, curator and writer with a focus on interdisciplinary approaches dealing with time, space and transformation at the intersection of art, ecology and technology. I have a demonstrated history of working in the museums and cultural institutions industry. Skilled in Curatorial Projects, Cultural and Publication Management, Archival Research, Copy-Editing, Writing, Art Education, Lecturing, and Museum Education. Strong arts and design professional graduated from University of Heidelberg, based in Berlin and Heidelberg.
In my research and curatorial practice I have developed and implemented interdisciplinary exhibitions and publication projects in the field of visual and performing arts for international art institutions including Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation, Kunsthalle Mannheim, Munich's Pinakothek der Moderne, and Nationalgalerie – Staatliche Museen zu Berlin (Hamburger Bahnhof – Museum für Gegenwart – Berlin, Neue Nationalgalerie, Museum Berggruen, Alte Nationalgalerie). I am based at the Institute of Art and Visual History at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, writing my PhD Thesis, holding a full scholarship by Gerda Henkel Stiftung since 2020. In 2022 I became an Associated Member (pre-docoral researcher) of the Cluster of Excellence Matters of Activity. Image Space Material at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Since then I make loose ends meet and explore new topics.
In my PhD Thesis I research on the analog and digital (re-)stagings of process-based and inter-media art from the late 1950s until today and their potential for sustainable archival and curatorial practices. The focus is put on artist Otto Piene who experimented with natural phenomena, light and slide installations. I research on links between visual interpretations of natural phenomena and social discourses in art and design and seek to contribute to a genealogy of an ecological aesthetic.
